Overview
Ladakh is the most prominent for its beauty, culture and traditions along with the beauty of its high remote mountains and upper Indus River Valley, located on the foothill of Karakoram Mountain which is subrange of the Hindu Kush Himalayan Range. Ladakh is also called The Land of Mountain Passes.
So, we have designed a unique package ‘Ladakh with Himachal tour’, during the tour you will visit the most popular Gompas (monasteries) of the Ladakh region. Visiting the destinations such as Delhi, Leh , Sarchu, Jispa, Manali and Shimla, covering the major sightseeing at each places. Apart from this you may also enjoy the various adventure sports activities such as Paragliding, Mountain biking and Heli skiing etc at Rohtang Pass.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, you will be received by our representative at the airport, after meet and greet, transfer to the hotel, rest day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
Post breakfast, proceed for city tour of Delhi covering major tourist attractions such as India Gate, Parliament House, Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, Humayun Tomb,Red Fort and Laxmi Narayan Temple etc. In the afternoon visit Qutab Minar and Chhattarpur Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi - Leh
Today wake up early, than transfer to the airport to board the flight to Leh. On arrival in Leh, check-in at the hotel and have the breakfast. Rest day is free just relax and keep your body to adjust the high altitude. Later in the evening take you can walk to Leh market and buy some authentic local items. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Leh
After breakfast, transfer to full day excursion to the famous monasteries such as Phyang and Spituk monastery and participate the spiritual prayer, you can do the meditations as well. Later in the day, visit the Leh Mosque, Kings Palace, Leh Gompa and Shey Palace. Return to the hotel in late evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh(Excursion Tour)
Post breakfast, proceed to take full day excursion to Khardongla pass, the highest motorable pass in the world, it offers the panoramic view of snowcapped mountains. Late in the afternoon return to the hotel, at Leh. Evening is free at leisure or you can explore the vibrant culture of the city while roaming around the nearby markets and other places .Enjoy night stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh(Excursion Tour)
Post breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion to Pangong Lake. The Pangong Lake is one of the most beautiful Lakes in the entire Himalayan region. Pangong Tso is located at the height of 4350 meters approximately from the sea level which extends from India to Tibet. It is about 150 kilometers from Leh. About 60% length of the lake are situated in Tibet. The most significant features of the lake is that it changes color three to four times in a day. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Leh - Sarchu Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive for Sarchu. It is located 222 kilometers away from Leh. It is an important halt that provides for tented accommodation on the Leh-Manali Highway. While driving to Sarchu on stop midway at Upshi to visit Hundur and Hemis monastery. Hemis monastery is the one of the biggest in Ladakh which is located approximately 45 kilometres from Ladakh. The existence of this monastery was before 11th century but it was rebuilt 1672. the honor of Lord Padmasambhava; every year this monastery host the cultural and traditional festival, the most famous attraction of the festival is its mystic mask dances which are significantly known as Chams. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 8 : Sarchu - Jispa - Manali
Post breakfast, proceed to Manali via Jispa. En route you can find the amazing scenery and breathtaking views of the great Himalayas. Upon reaching Manali check-in at hotels. Post lunch, visit the Manali’s major tourist attractions such as Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, Manu Temple and Solang Valley. Also enjoy Vashist springs for a hot Sulphur spring bath, known to have medicinal powers. In the evening return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Manali Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for a full day excursion to Rohtang Pass. It is located at an altitude of 3,978 meters above sea level and situated in the eastern hills of the Pir Panjal Range and lies with banks of Beas and Chenab River. It open from July to September. It is located at about 52 kilometre from Manali located on Manali – Leh highway. On the way is the village of Nehru Kothi, where you get the panoramic view of the Beans River. Further along are the Rahalla falls. Once on top, savour the stunning panoramas of peaks and glaciers, and the Lahul valley below. Adventure tourism is highly drawn to this place for enjoying adventure sports ranging from Paragliding, Skiing, Mountain biking and Heli skiing. You may visit Beas Kund and Dasohar Lake that are closely located to the pass.
In the evening return to Manali and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Manali - Shimla
After breakfast, proceed to Shimla. On reaching Shimla, check-in at the hotel. After refreshment, proceed to explore the major tourist attractions of the city like Jakhu Temple, Chadwick Falls, Jakhoo Hill, Dorje Drag Monastery, Christ Church and the Tara Devi temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Shimla
Breakfast at hotel. You may do the Ice skating at the Mall Road. You may also visit the zoo at Kufri. The latter part of the day is reserved for Kinnaur Kailash Parikarma Trek to experience the Buddhism lifestyle, due to its proximity to Tibet. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Shimla - Delhi
